The Cloud by Focus Lighting Ushers Visitors into the Boffo Show House

The Cloud by Focus Lighting is an ever-changing light fixture that uses shifting colors to create a dynamic hallway experience. Traveling the length of the narrow ceiling in the hallway of the Boffo Show House, an arts and culture non-profit organization in New York that fosters collaborations between artists, designers, communities, theorists, and the media for experiments in living, it ushers guests inside in a wondrous manner.

Made up of 200 tubes and LED nodes attached to 16 wooden discs, the Cloud by Focus Lighting is equipped with infrared sensors that read movement beneath it. Once detected, it triggers one of twelve unique looks as people travel underneath the ceiling light. The principal designer, Brett Andersen, says, "We wanted to use light to create a welcoming and memorable experience for each visitor."
