Astronaut Design Creates a Pegasus Made Out of Coffee

Astronaut Studio created this pitch-perfect packaging to house Dark Matter Coffee, which the firm extended as a gift to its loyal clients. The whimsical branding is set apart by its stunning representation of a pegasus rendered entirely in coffee grounds. The rest of the packaging is relatively simple with clean typography and a silhouetted telescope, so as not to detract from the gorgeous mythical beast.

Surprisingly, the caffeine-happy winged horse is not a photoshopped effect. The creative team at Astronaut Studio really did organize all those tiny coffee grounds into this startling equine shape by hand. Sure, the task may be enough to make you go cross-eyed, but the resulting visual makes all that painstaking labor well worth the effort.

Complete with the perfect image of a java-fueled fairytale, the Dark Matter Coffee packaging is wonderfully whimsical.
