Autodance Syncs Music With Recorded Dancers to Create Quirky Videos

The Autodance app created by CP+B Gothenburg is part of the launch campaign for the new video game 'Just Dance 3.'

To reel in the hype for the release of this dance frenzy game, CP+B Gothenburg designed this app that allows everyone to become a dancer. The app allows users to record four different shots of a person dancing and it automatically syncs their movements to a song.

In the video, the Barbara Streisand dance song was applied to a variety of dance videos that showed people's silly but fun dance moves, which perfectly jam with the beats. The aim was to show people that "anyone can dance" and that's exactly what people did. The app launch was very successful as people uploaded their homemade videos to Facebook and YouTube. The campaign led 'Just Dance 3' to be the number one selling video game in Europe.
