Japan's 'Color Mountain' Showcases a Technicolor Light Scheme

Mt. Naeba Japan's 'Color Mountain' venture is a groundbreaking ski hill project. The psychedelic technicolor display is entrancing, effortlessly cascading along the snow-capped peaks of the mountains. This impressive display represents a two-year collaboration between the Australian design experts at ENESS and Tokyo's inhabitant label who were unfortunately inhibited by the 2011 Japanese earthquake. The duo decided to follow through with the plan despite the impact of the horrific events, eventually executing an incredible artistic take on the sport.

Color Mountain features an array of electric green, blue and red patterns. This design is also interactive, making use of an iPhone application that allows viewers to control the visuals throughout the show's progression. The hands-on approach here is novel, and has furthermore provided bystanders with the opportunity to interact with athletes in a meaningful manner.
