Painfully Pierced Watches

'iDermal' by Dave Hurban Uses a Lot of Bloody Effort to Strap on a Watch

Before watching this video titled 'iDermal' by Dave Hurban, I should advise everyone to not reenact this cool yet gut-wrenching concept.

It shows the process of magnetically mounting a nano iPod onto the wrist of a brave volunteer. It looks pretty futuristic and amazing but it's also literally bloody. Body piercer Hurban digs into his own skin to inject four mini pads that holds the nano.

There's blood, flesh and some intensity to go through before being able to properly wear this watch. What looks like a long period of poking and picking, Hurban finally finishes the body piercing and places the nano onto his wrist. During the whole video I was really hoping he chose metals that were actually magnetic.

What would happen if a newer model of the nano comes out?
