On a rainy April day at Martin Place in Sydney, Australia, pedestrians were pleasantly surprised when they walked through a life-size LEGO forest. This year marks the 50th year LEGO has been in Australia, so the company decided to do something special to honor the occasion. To launch the LEGO festival, the company built a forest of 15 building block trees and model flowers.
The basic colors LEGO uses are iconic so it was easy to recognize who made the greenery. The scale of the items are exactly the same as what one would get in a normal LEGO set, only blown up to be the size of regular trees. LEGO says that the forest will appear somewhere else in the world later this year but for now it's a secret.
