Childhood Imagination Captures

Bjorn Ewers Reminds Viewers of Days Gone By

Bjorn Ewers presents a photography series that reminds viewers of what it's like to be a child. As one gets older, they start to forget the glory in building an entire world out of sheets and pillows, and move on to having others entertain them instead of letting their mind do all the work.

Ewers’ forts are a little more complex than a child’s, but nonetheless awesome. One is set in a dimly lit room and features cardboard boxes covered in aluminum foil, making it look like the moon. The back wall is also covered in light-up stars to set the mood. A simpler design is made from only pillows, rugs and blankets, and yet somehow manages to make a miniature igloo.
