Romance-Ridden Boxer Editorials

The Alyona Subbotina Flair Shoot is Bloody and Elegant

The Alyona Subbotina Flair editorial could easily be titled 'The Beauty and the Boxer.' It chronicles a troubling tale between two people from different worlds who are madly in love with each other. The tall and elegant sophisticate helps her lowbrow boxer lover train before a big match. Later images showcase the female deeply disturbed by the brutality of the fight.

Shot by New York-based photographer Jean-François Campos for the magazine's March 2012 issue, the Alyona Subbotina Flair editorial embraces the sports theme that has enthralled the fashion industry. The Kazakhstani beauty was styled by Mary Fellowes, who clad her in cocktail dresses from fashion labels such as Givenchy, Louis Vuitton and Emporio Armani. Makeup artist Chris Colbec and hairstylist Kenna finished off the glam looks.
