The Zboard, set for release in April 2012, is a weight sensitive electric skateboard.
Two models will be available, the classic and the pro, both of which are activated by a foot pedal that propels the Zboard towards a maximum of 15 mph for the classic and 17mph for the pro. To stop, just lean on the rear foot pad to activate the board's regenerative braking, which ensures that no sudden halts will send the rider flying in an embarrassing display of rookie riding. The pro model is powered by lithium ion batteries, improving weight and durability, while the classic is energized by sealed acid lead batteries. Both models come equipped with a wall charger that powers the Zboard in five hours. Following in the footsteps of the electric scooter and Segway, the Zboard will be the newest addition to portable, eco-friendly modes of transportation.
