The Vogue China 'The New Fifties' Shoot is Elegantly Seductive

The Vogue China 'The New Fifties' editorial really does show another side to this retro era. Although this period is known for its prim and proper fashion, the photo shoot goes down a different path for something a little more seductive and risque. It appears to capture the cougars of the fifties.

Shot by photography duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for the magazine's March 2012 issue, the Vogue China The New Fifties editorial takes place in an iconic '50s diner. The stars, models Natasha Poly and Isabeli Fontana, are outfitted in sexy headscarves, boldly printed bodysuits and curvaceous frocks. The vintage-inspired wardrobe was styled by Italian stylist Nicoletta Santoro. The looks are completed with voluminous curls and cat eyes.
