The Dream Doctors Campaign Promotes Healing Through Humor

The Dream Doctors campaign promotes an alternative health care model that was pioneered by everyone's favorite doctor, Patch Adams. Some may be familiar with the movie of the same name starring Robin Williams, but Hunter Doherty 'Patch' Adams is a real person who started a medical movement that encouraged healing through humor. The Dream Doctors campaign centers around this idea.

Created by Tel Aviv-based ad agency Shalmor Avnon Amichay/Y&R Interactive, the Dream Doctors campaign revolves around buffoon bacteria characters. Paired with the tag line, “Medical Clowns. For a few minutes the disease is less scary," these images show that laughter and playfulness can alleviate a patient's fear and stress.

The Dream Doctors campaign was creative directed by Oren Meir and art directed by Gil Aviyam.
