One Hundred Apparel Gives 100% of Profits to charity:water

One Hundred Apparel is a humanitarian fashion line that donates one hundred percent of its profits to charity:water, a nonprofit dedicated to providing clean water to developing nations.

"We want one hundred percent clean water for one hundred percent of the world," the site says. "This is our name, but also our mission."

The first One Hundred Apparel line was launched along with this mission in July 2011. Their online store includes t-shirts and hoodies for men and women. And for people who don't wear clothes and still want to do good? One Hundred Apparel has that covered too: "That's silly. But you can donate instead!" Or they can pick up a water bottle or One Hundred Apparel sticker instead.

The company was founded by Alexander Mark, who came up with the idea in college after being frustrated by what he calls "pseudo-humanitarianism," or helping with ulterior motives (like boosting a resume). Mark wanted to create a clothing line that gave back for no other reason that helping out. When he learned about the water crisis and that one billion people don't have access to clean water, he knew charity:water was the cause he wanted to support.
