Compact Parisian Autos

The Parasol Concept Car is Designed to be Shared in 2046 Paris

The Parasol concept car may be the most misleadingly named automobile ever. This compact concept from designer Daisuke Iguchi was designed for Paris in the year 2046. The name of the car is actually a combination of the words “Paris” and “personal” and gives a hint into the car’s purpose.

The Parasol concept car seats up to two people and was envisioned as being part of a massive car-sharing program. The car would be electrically powered and drive itself, following a preset pattern indicated by a strip of light on the ground. Occupants would be able to see the city on their own time and wouldn’t have to worry about navigating unfamiliar streets. The car also features a neat function where its occupants can display the names or logos of their favorite fashion brands.
