Rough Rocker Runways

Gucci Fall Runway Show at Milan Men's Fashion Week 2012

The Gucci collection, debuted at Milan Men's Fashion Week 2012, featured 70s-inspired rocker attire.

The runway show for the Gucci collection for the fall and winter season of 2012/2013 was a throwback to the days of true rock and roll spirit. The models were left disheveled with greasy bangs and Guitar Hero-worthy bed head. The shape of the clothing remains tightly tailored, but textures and patterns used were more free flowing.

Some main characteristics of the outlandish line included velvets, plenty of paisley and oversized faux fur coats. Though the collection was a reflection of the 70s rock-start lifestyle, the overall styling remained crisp and thoughtful. The style is held together tightly with iconic accessories, such as the yellow-tinted aviator sunglasses and the well-worn printed totes.

The collection of menswear for the fall and winter of 2012/2013 was a wonderful acknowledgement of the lost gods of rock and roll.
