The Calvin Klein Fall 2012 Features Gator Hide and Oversized Ponchos

The Calvin Klein Fall 2012 collection is full of rebelliously crisp tailored suits, oversized jackets and rustic details.

The collection puts a modern twist on the traditional vision of the Calvin Klein brand. Creative Director Italo Zucchelli incorporated interesting fabrics and shapes into the menswear. While the line features modern shapes and detailing, the classic neutral scaling of past collections is maintained. The majority of the clothing is in black, or a warm beige hue. Zucchelli's site states, “I try to combine my ideas of what a modern Calvin Klein collection ‘could’ be with those defining what I feel a Calvin Klein collection ‘should’ be.” Particularly memorable is the black gator hide trousers, suit jacket and more subtle detailing on bomber jackets. Also interesting are the long draping ponchos.
