MiiCard Lets You Prove Your Identity Without Physical Documents

It's easy to lose your passport, your ID card and whatever else that would prove your identity, but with the MiiCard, you don't have to worry about that. MiiCard, a "digital passport" that was created in conjunction with CallCredit, lets you prove your identity without the need for physical documentation.

MiiCard is essentially an online identity service that uses CallCredit's identity verification software. When you use the MiiCard service, you can prove that you are who you say you are in real-time. According to Wired UK, the service ensures that you can do so with the "same level of trust as a driving licence or passport."

The MiiCard service is currently being applied to the opening of bank accounts online, but a service like this could definitely be used for other activities that would require proof of identity, such as travel.
