The Magnetic Resonance Helmet Diagnoses Neuro-Signaling Patterns

Designers Hans Georg Kloster, Dr. Andreas Peter, Dr. Stefan Schonhardt and Sebastian Rieger have created something called the Magnetic Resonance Helmet, a tool that allows neurologists to analyze and diagnose "neuron-signalling patterns of a patient's brain cortex."

Essentially, the Magnetic Resonance Helmet, which won the Red Dot award for best Design Concept in the Life Science category, would help neurologists monitor the patterns in a person's brain to provide serious medical diagnosis. According to the designers, patients with brain disorders are often misdiagnosed. The helmet works by using 500 different sensors that pinpoint tiny patterns in the brain, allowing doctors to determine what therapies will best help the individual. In addition, the helmet can comfort the patient during the procedure via a built-in entertainment feature, which helps to keep the patient calm.
