Social Impact Fellowships

Echoing Green Offers Seed Funding for Visionary Entrepreneurs

If you're already in the world of social enterprise, you've probably heard of Echoing Green, but for those who haven't, this impact-focused business is launching rising social entrepreneurs and their ventures through seed funding.

NYC-based Echoing Green runs two-year fellowship programs for these entrepreneurs -- so far almost 500 people have taken part, receiving close to $30 million in funding.

"These social entrepreneurs and their organizations work to solve deeply-rooted social, environmental, economic, and political inequities to ensure equal access and to help all individuals reach their potential," the site says.

Echoing Green creates impact in three major ways: identifying visionaries focused on social change via a rigorous selection process, investing in innovation with seed grants, providing hands-on support and consultation, and connecting social entrepreneurs with likeminded visionaries around the world.

"Echoing Green has been in the business of identifying, funding, and supporting emerging social entrepreneurs since 1987, when we funded our first fellow, Diana Propper de Callejon," the site says.

"People who have great ideas shouldn’t fall through the cracks, and sometimes they need a boost to find their way to execution and then to impact."
