The Will Ferrell Old Milwuakee ads were apparently an idea pitched by the actor himself. Ferrell shot and filmed the ads on his own dime. Altogether there is a total of three ads. The ads were filmed in Davenport, Iowa, one of the quad cities along the Mississippi River. The ads are only shown in and around the quad cities making them even more legendary.
