Misplaced Head Captures

Alexandre Bordereau Removed the Top Part to Add New Forms of Expressions

Facial expression and the head itself are essential parts of people's personalities, and to draw some attention to this matter, the French photographer Alexandre Bordereau chopped off the heads of his subjects and added an interesting twist.

Bordereau is also known by his online pseudonym aRe-y0u-iN, and he has an extensive portfolio of creative projects related to photography and graphic design. The series titled Oh My Head! is his own experiment about the artificial creation of facial expressions without a head. He tells the site My Modern Met, "I try to show that it is possible to express an emotion without the expressions of a face. I often use sad feelings for my art, but also humor." The result is funny and entertaining as Bordereau used elements like painting, smoke, a Wanted poster and a rainy cloud to replace the top part of his subjects.

Alexandre Bordereau is a self-taught artist who uses imagination and art to create a new world.
