Dazed & Confused's Ada Minola Editorial Stars Model Anna de Rijk

The Roaring Twenties has a lot to offer the fashion industry in regards to inspiration: the flapper, classic mobsters and silent films are the first things that come to mind; the Ada Minola photo spread seems influenced by the latter. It is no wonder that the 20s is making a comeback. Glamorous, yet daring, this era saw a whole new kind of woman emerge as well.

Shot by Carlotta Manaigo for Dazed & Confused's November 2011 issue, the Ada Minola editorial is dramatic, sultry and full of languid sophistication. Naoki Komiya put the era's signature beauty touches on model Anna de Rijk, finger waves and thin, penciled brows, while stylist Aayami Nishimura went for classic decadence with lingerie, furs and leather.
