If you have ever wanted to travel on clouds—not by plane, but on clouds—then you will simply love the ‘Passing Cloud’ by Tiago Barros. The inflatable clouds would take you wherever the wind blows, without a fixed destination.
New York architect Tiago Barros came up with this design that was submitted to the Van Alen Institute and the Department of Cultural Affairs of New York City for the rail-network competition. Though he did not win the competition, the design is a strong idea that will surely be built on in the future. Basically, the passengers would get on the surface of the inflated cloud using ladders and there is no pre-determined destination. The cloud is made of steel that holds the structures together.
So if you want to fly with the clouds and go where the wind takes you, you should see what the cloud transport would look like.
