Designers will never tire of the mystifying beauty beneath the surface of the ocean, and the LumineXence Octopus Lamp is a piece that credits the eight-armed mollusk with its peculiar form. It comes off as an extraordinarily modern and abstract domestic fixture, but in reality its radiant appearance has organic roots.

The illuminating object was formed with the image of a stretched out octopus in mind, poised with his legs aligned for swiftly gliding through the water. The perforations and indentations found in the Corian shell of the floor lamp directly reference the rows of suction cups up and down the animal's tentacles.

If the LumineXence Octopus Lamp wasn't unique enough, it is being produced in a vivid spectrum of colors in a limited edition of 120 pieces.
