It's in the pliable shaping of these peculiar drawers that designer Emily Vislocky altered the familiar language and form of this type of furniture. Each couch-side stand exists as the other's opposite, as a sort of yin and yang arrangement with respect to their handles. Of the Poke + Squeeze Tables, the former produces a hole through which a single finger must penetrate and pull, while the latter should be pinched to gain a grip.
