I have never wanted to own a single piece of floating furniture until I came across Allawan Flying Furniture. This multifunctional piece of furniture is designed to look as if it is floating in midair.
Of course this magic carpet-inspired piece isn't actually floating, but the design is ingenious nonetheless. Design duo Kamil Laszuk and Justyna Szymczak used a set of mirrors mounted onto plywood to give the appearance of levitation. The magic carpet pictured here can be used in a variety of ways, including as an ottoman, couch coffee table or bench. I really like what these two designers have done here and would like to see them expand on it. Imagine a whole room filled with "floating" couches, tables and chairs like the Allawan Flying Furniture.
