Max Steiner Design Transforms Bricked Toys into Fashionable Items

It's no secret that LEGO has become quite a source of inspiration among designers and Max Steiner Design's work proves it.

Max Steiner Design is a designer based out of Bushwick, Brooklyn who has blinged out a common childhood toy most have played with: LEGO. What sets this apart? The main difference is that it avoids using the real thing. While some may scoff at this idea of the lack of authenticity, I like the idea that these LEGO pieces are made from sterling silver with embedded gem stones. It gives it more of a grown-up look and you can admire the craftsmanship behind what's been created. So far Max Steiner Design has created necklaces and cuff links. Hopefully other types of accessories will follow!
