Founded in 1927 by Adem Niksic, Manulution has been revitalized by his grandchildren. Although they hold onto Manulution's legacy for beautiful Bosnia and Herzegovina cultural influences, the now Washington-based company has injected a modern feel to each of its products that compliment Manulution's overall avant-garde aesthetic.

With Manulution's traditional carving techniques, the company is nevertheless able to create "lines of modern, designer furniture [that] are the testimony of our young and innovative spirit," as the designers put it.
