As I look at the Roundkeep table, I can't help but fear that the glasstop is way too heavy and as a result is crumbling the metal supports beneath it. Of course, that is just the design of this simple yet stunning piece of furniture.
Conceived by Studio Ide and constructed by John Beck Paper and Steel, the Roundkeep table boasts legs that consist of three discreet planes, which interlock to create a triangulated form. That form was then purposely bent to create an abstract shape that is clearly visible beneath the glass surface. I especially like the cutout detail in the glass of the Roundkeep table. It acts like a built-in vase.
