Ghostly Furniture Collections

Tokujin Yoshioka's Trims the Fat for ‘The Invisibles Lig

‘The Invisibles Light’ is the sequel to Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka’s hit transparent furniture collection ‘The Invisibles.’ 'The Invisibles Light' is a slimmed-down version of ‘The Invisibles,’ which saw Yoshioka creating tables and chairs that seemed to disappear into thin-air thanks to their clear-acrylic construction.

While Yoshioka’s original 'The Invisibles' collection had chairs and tables that were somewhat bulky, which worked against the collection's whole invisible furniture theme, 'The Invisibles Light' collection features designs that have had the fat trimmed off -- they are nearly impossible to see and resonate with intended theme. The collection was designed for Italian furniture brand Kartell and is set to make its debut at Milan Design Week.
