The Google Science Fair Looks for Young Scientists Around the World

The Google Science Fair 2011 is the first global online science fair ever created. Google says that they are “looking for the brightest, best young scientists from around the world to submit interesting, creative projects that are relevant to the world today.” To be able to participate, contestants must be students between the ages of 13 and 18.

The Google Science Fair entries will be judged by a panel of teachers and voted on by the public. When the final 15 are chosen, they will be flown to the Google headquarters in California, U.S., for a spectacular event and final judging. When Google holds a contest, you know there are going to be some amazing prizes. The first place winner will get a 10-day trip to the amazing Galapagos Islands with National Geographic Expeditions, a $50,000 scholarship and more! Now that is a science fair worth entering!
