Junya Watanabe Rocks Punk Subculture with Massive Mohawks

Fabulous faux mohawk hairstyles were rampant on the runway at Japanese designer Junya Watanabe's show during Fashion Week in Paris this weekend. The crested coifs emphasized the collection’s punk subculture feel, which was raging with of-the-minute leather motorcycle jackets, mod biker boots and fun animal-printed fur wraps.

Wisely, no highly paid fashion model actually had to have her hair shorn to the skin along the sides of their heads into a genuine mohawk for the Watanabe show. As far as I can tell, their prized locks had been simply gathered along the part line, fastened with pins and poofed out in all directions with what must have been an incredible amount of super-hold hairspray.
