Welcome to Atten TV: a media network that lets anyone be a broadcaster, and lets others watch others' broadcast streams. Yes. It's *that* inter-twined.

How does it work:

It's YouTube with a stalker/ voyeur plug-in. Choose your level of comfort to determine what you'd call it. Atten TV is unabashed about calling the audience "voyeuristic groups."

Now. I really don't know what to say about a technology that gives everyone the double-role of being the celebrity and the audience.

I am not comfortable with being an Arugs Panoptes, the Greek mythological ever-watchful giant. And I would never want anyone to know what an entirely unexceptional clickstream I have. Should they really, really know I really, really don't dig music? No. I'd rather not tell. Mum's the word.

OK. No joking. Getting used to Orkut has already taken away some of the discomfort level from being watched. Yet so far, it was rather an effort to follow a person or idea through Orkut scraps + replies, del.icio.us links, technorati popularity, and what not. Some of us are already using this as a mode of search - made orthodox through Younanimous and Knover.
