Unusual Bacon Culinary Innovations

Bizarre Repurposed Pork

I really don’t get why bacon is the meat that everyone loves, with inedible iterations modeled after bacon like clothes, furniture, tattoos, soap, hats, and scarves. Prosciutto di Parma aged ham doesn’t have this kind of cult following.

The fact some of these images are from a website called Mr Bacon Pants also speaks volumes. Mr Bacon Pants is not alone in his love of this A-list meat. On Metallica’s tour rider notes, a line that appears in all capitals reads, “BACON VERY IMPORTANT THAT BACON BE AVAILABLE AT EVERY MEAL AND DURING DAY.”

Here are some weird bacon-flavored foods that have nothing to do with breakfast:

Bacon Chocolate-Chip Cookies - No comment.

Chocolate-Covered Bacon - You can buy this from Marini’s in Santa Cruz, California. I will pass on this, thank you.

Bacon-and-Egg Ice Cream from Heston Blumenthal - This is one of the most popular items at the triple-Michelin-starred restaurant The Fat Duck.

Bacon Vodka - Make your own, or try a bacon martini in Vegas or New Orleans.

Fake Bacon - There is no limit to the possible pranks to be pulled with this.

Bacon Toffee - Find out how to try it here.

Smoky Cheddar Bacon Gourmet Popcorn - From Cornzapoppin

Bacon Maple Doughnut Bar - From the awesome Voodoo Doughnut.
