Great news for those who depend on their mobile phone for photography. Samsung has just unveiled the world's slimmest 8MP CMOS measuring a tiny 28mm × 15.3mm × 8.5mm. The semiconductor module which will go into mass production in Q3/4 this year was designed especially for mobile phones and it will help bring 'phonetography' to the next level.
The new module, which is 10% smaller than current solutions, packs powerful features such as ISO 1600 sensitivity, anti-shake capability, face detection technology, 1-cm macro and an automated smiling face shoot mode.
