What a brilliant concept. ECHOage is an innovative forward-thinking online party planning tool that provides kids and their parents with the opportunity to protect the environment while saving time and money in the birthday planning process. Co-founder Alison Smith flaunts that “ ECHOage is convenience and conscience wrapped up in a big green ribbon!”

This is how it works: the birthday kid and parents choose a pre-approved charitable organization via the ECHOage website, and then ask the invited guests to make a small donation of $10-$30. ECHOage will then send half the cash on to the charitable cause, and the other half to the child holding the party for the purchase of one special gift the kid really wants as opposed to recieving numerous little not-so-hot gifts as is often the case in birthdays.

It's an all win situation: the kid gets a super cool gift he/she wants, parents spend less time and money looking for gifts, and a good amount of money goes to a good charity.
