Roy Orbison-Inspired Insect

This recently discovered species of beetle was named after the legendary rocker - Roy Orbison - and his wife. Entomologist, Quentin Wheeler, announced this news at a Roy Orbison Tribute Concert on Jan. 25. Why the singer of "Pretty Woman?" Supposedly, the little guy looks as if it's wearing a tuxedo. The scientific name is Orectochilus orbisonorum and has to (arguably) be one of the coolest honors to receive.

Implications - This can be added to the already staggering list of awards and accomplishments bestowed on Orbison. Considered one of the most early adopters and influencers of rock n' roll music, Orbison's unique voice and intricate song structure influenced an entire generation of music fans, The Orectochilus Orbisonorum has a lot to live up to.
