Not So Charming Charms

Gold Poo For Luck (in Japan)

It's incredible how many poo-themed products exist on the market today. This golden little trinket is a Japanese charm meant to bring its owner luck. The coil of anime-style poop is fastened to a red chain and is, according to photos, intended to be used as a cell phone, PDA charm or to bring a little gaming luck attached to your Wii-mote.

Each culture is different. There seem to be no horseshoes in the pile, so the only other expression that comes to mind is "sh*t out of luck." On the other hand, many do have the superstition that a bird, particularly a pigeon, bombing your head or shoulder is supposed to bring luck too.

The Lucky Golden Poo can be bought from ThinkGeek for $3.99 - $4.99.
