Unexplainable at Prada

Check out this gallery and you will wonder if our second image is Johnny Depp wearing a cropped black beater tank over a cobalt blue dress shirt. As much as it looks like it, it’s actually a Prada model on the catwalk of the men’s show in Milan. The entire Prada Fall 2008 collection looked preppy and polished, yet incredibly odd at the same time.

What about black leather underwear poking out the top of dress pants, with a spray-on-tight grey sweater tucked into the visible undies? Pair it with a patterned murse and jump into your patent leather knee-high boots, and you’ll be ready for some Venetian puddle jumping.

Too dull? Add a punch of color with a gold murse studded with black squares. Best of all, it’s big enough to carry a pair of dress shoes for when you hit the office. After all, your colleagues may not be so approving of the cobalt blue patent boots worn by Prada’s model.

Skirts, sparkly pants, glittering tanks that looks like they belong on the Chippendales… Miuccia Prada wasn’t afraid to take a chance.

Breathe in the bizarreness of the collection, and keep in mind these collections are meant to inspire, not intended to be copied directly in your day-to-day wardrobe. Unless, of course, that’s your style. We won’t judge!
