The Noisician Coalition Gets Ready to Rock Out in New Orleans This Christmas

The Noisician Coalition and Flanagan’s Pub have teamed up for the last two years to bring their unique blend of holiday spirit to viewers around the world with their noisy New Orleans Christmas greetings. These seasons greetings straight from the French Quarter began in 2007 with a strange and wonderful adaptation of “Little Drummer Boy”. (This is NOT the Bing Crosby & David Bowie duet… far from it.)

The Noisician Coalition combines homemade “musical” instruments like drums made from trash cans and old hubcaps with circuit bent Frankenstein-ed toy noise makers for a unique listening experience. They bring extra special holiday cheer with noise parades around New Orleans during Mardi Gras and Halloween, but their Christmas videos with Flanagan’s Pub are a must see.

The 2008 holiday video brought us clowns, crazy tall bikes, something resembling a scene from the Monkees’ classic TV show and more with their version of “Good King Wenceslas.” Rumor has it something even more insane is in store for the 2009 holiday season. Stay tuned…
