Fishnet is a surefire way to make anything look classy (snort), yet when this theme is manifested as Various Architects Office has done with the Mobile Performance Venue, fishnet patterns can definitely look dapper. The netted structure was probably adopted so that it could claim to be a lightweight structure.
The Mobile Performance Venue is also portable (as demonstrated by the photo of it in Egypt, courtesy of Designboom). The winner at this year’s World Architecture Festival, we may be seeing more of this fishnet structure at other wonders of the world. Check out Designboom for more info and images.
