Laser Beams That Trigger Amnesia

MIB Tool Becomes Military Reality

Straight out of “Men in Black”, a crazy new laser weapon will erase memories as they happen. American and Chinese researchers have teamed up to selectively erasing memories in mice.

The original amnesia laser rendered mice unable to form memories, Amnesia laser 2.0 attacks specific memories by comandeering individual proteins in the brain.

Amnesia laser technology, of course, has sparked the interest of the US military. The Pentagon has been known to drop beaucoup bucks to manipulate the memories of soldiers with post-traumatic stress disorder. But doesn’t it seem like a more sinister plot to erase the memories of our enemies so they’ll never know what hit ‘em?

Amnesia beams work by emitting a blast of electrons. Strobe lights have been used to disorient enemies in the past but this cool tool is way more awesome.
