Eerie ‘Invisibilia' Technique Channels “Take On Me” Video

In each photograph, a person's image is replaced with an illustration, reminiscent of the "Take On Me" music video by a-ha.

I'm not sure why, but this 'Invisibilia' technique disturbs me. In my mind I have strange theories about being turned into a black-and-white drawing like a scene from 'Mary Poppins' but maybe that is just slightly disturbed Cowbag.
