The appeal of the diamond-encrusted credit card does not lie solely on the jewels but also to the fact that it has an unrestricted credit limit for the multi-millionaires.

The Royale Mastercard is being offered by Dubai First to customers with a monthly salary of at least Dh100,000. The credit card is available by invitation only to the qualified self-employed who has assets amounting to at least Dh3.67 million.

The card is initially available to customers in the United Arab Emirates before spreading across the Middle East and North Africa region.

UAE is said to have 68,000 high-net-worth individuals with personal wealth exceeding $1 million(Dh 3.67). With the sky's the limit credit limit for the card holders, the bejewelled credit card has a huge appeal to the likes of Saudi multi-billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.
