Sonja Rykiel's Paris Exhibition

At long last, a tribute to a French fashion designer whose ready-to-wear collections, not haute couture, have been worn for over 40 years.

Such an extensive career is certainly something to commemorate, and that is just what curator Olivier Saillard has done with an exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris to mark the 40th anniversary of Sonja Rykiel’s brilliant fashion label.

The exhibition is open to the public now and features a retrospective view of some of Sonja Rykiel’s most memorable designs. The collection ranges from the very first sweater she started out with back in 1962 all the way up to the colorful and playful knitwear collections of today.
