Dan Hertzfeldt's Ah, L'Amour

Ah, L'Amour is the first famed film by animator and Academy Award nominee Don Hertzfeldt. Hertzfeldt created the short film in 1995 when he was 18 and a student at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Quite rightly he is protective of his work, and the film had never been online due to copyright; but Atom Films has now obtained those rights so you can view it here.

Implications - The video has a bit of an evil side and even features cartoon drawings ripping off the skin of others. The bloody cartoon portrays vicious women that have been inspired by some of Don Hertzfeldt's past flames. He claims that he mostly needed past-fling inspiration for female hairstyles.
