It can't be denied that The Tattoorialist was inspired by the popular street photography blog created by Scott Schuman, The Sartorialist. Not only does the name take after it, The Tattoorialist's photos also focus on everyday people as they roam around their city. Of course, it hones in on tattoos rather than fashion.
Created by photographer Nicolas Brulez, The Tattoorialist is being touted as "first website about fashion portaits of inked-people" as written on the website. What sets The Tattoorialist apart from The Satorialist is the accompanying explanation for the tattoos. Whether to engrave important moments in one's life or to keep people away like a suit of armor, each person depicted on the website is given a voice to explain their body art.
From full-body tattoos to simple one-offs, The Tattoorialist documents it all.
