The Stutterheim Rain Coats Feature a Vintage Look

There are often movies or books in which a child will go up into the attic and find an emotionally-draining keepsake that once belonged to a loved one and the conception of the oh-so-vintage Stutterheim rain coats runs a similar storyline.

The popular Swedish jacket line started after a young Alex Stutterheim found an old fishing coat that belonged to his Grandfather, long ago. Struck with a powerful wave of nostalgia, he proceeded to fashion his own updated, version from an oil cloth. Received well by friends, Stutterheim soon created an entire line, all hand-sewn with the same rustic, classic cut. Featuring three basic colors -- black, white and olive -- the coats are minimalistic and sport beautiful streaked patterns when doused with rain.
