Trader Joe’s Ruby Cacao Wafers are a pretty pink treat that are just as sweet as they look. With the enduring popularity of millennial pink, these new chocolates are good enough for the 'gram.
To create Trader Joe’s new Ruby Cacao Wafers, the brand's Belgian supplier starts with cacao beans and turns them into something called "the fourth chocolate" (after milk, dark, and white) through a proprietary process. The result is a chocolate with a dusty pink or rose-colored hue. The wafers also boast a fruity, berry-like taste with a smooth and creamy texture. The tiny chocolates are then molded into small, circular pieces that are perfect for melting or turning into a pretty pink fondu.
Better yet, they'll be hitting store shelves just in time for Valentine's Day.
