The MyShell256 Shoes are perfect for any lady who feels like you can never have too many shoes. This modular shoe piece consists of 16 different components that combine to make up to 256 different pairs of shoes. Designer Sharon Golan created the shoes for those who take a minimalist approach to accessories. Golan's inspiration came from the earth and terrestrial crust, which is shaped by internal pressure as it moves. The shoes pull similarity in the way the foot reacts to outside pressures. The 16 pieces were inspired by four things from nature: parts of fruit peel, egg, earth and shell..
The MyShell256 Shoes can be connected and assembled using silicon-rubber bands, which are gentle and pliable to the wearer's feet. The rigid thermoplastic pieces move to how the body and foot moves so that it optimizes the comfortability factor. The project is accompanied by an interactive website and video which shows how to wear the shoe and all the 256 ways in which to assemble it.
