Buddhist-Themed Utilitarian Streetwear

maharishi's New Capsule is Inspired by Buddhism & Halloween

Without a doubt, London-based fashion label maharishi has been on fire this month. Last week, the brand teamed up with Dosnoventa, a specialty bike brand, to develop and launch a collaborative bicycle. Now, the label has just launched its newest collection, which looks to explore Halloween aesthetics while drawing from Buddhist philosophies.

The new collection by maharishi is shaped by a Buddhist perspective that centers around an acknowledgment of the impermanence of existence. In light of this, the designs for the new pieces are modeled after hand-painted artwork and woodblock prints. Standout items in the collection include the Souvenir Jacket, which features a black base design, embroidery, and internal carry straps. Another highlight is the Padded Gilet, which has a thin, padded outer layer that is made from breathable fabrics.
